This is the muk Blow 3900IR, the dryer that put muk on professional salon floors, in a limited edition pink finish. It comes with a full-size Deep muk 1 Minute Ultra Soft Treatment.

The dryer is unchanged. Infrared lights are built into the barrel, so heat works from inside the hair shaft rather than only on the surface, and the ionic generator puts out millions of negative ions to cut static and add shine. It runs at 2300 watts with adjustable heat and fan speeds and a three metre swivel cord, which is a salon cord rather than a domestic one.

The treatment in the box is what makes the pack worth taking over the dryer alone. Blow drying is the most frequent heat your hair takes, and a one-minute treatment is short enough to actually use on a wash day rather than something that waits for a spare half hour.

It suits every hair type and texture. What you match is the settings: low fan and low heat on fine, delicate or bleached hair, medium on medium, high on coarse and dense hair.

How To Use
  1. Towel dry your hair and apply Hot muk Thermal Protector.
  2. Match the settings to your hair. Low fan and low heat for fine, delicate or bleached hair. Medium for medium texture and density. High for coarse, dense hair.
  3. Keep the dryer moving and at least 15cm from the hair.
  4. Dry with your fingers for natural texture, a paddle brush for smooth, or a round brush for a blowout.
  5. Finish the section with cool air to set the shape before you release it.

No. The muk Blow Diffuser clicks onto the nozzle of this dryer and is sold separately, so add it if you wear your natural curl or wave. Our muk in-house professional hairdressers reach for it on any curly or wavy blow dry, and they do not recommend it on other dryers, because a diffuser is sized to one specific nozzle.

How far should I hold it from my hair?

At least 15cm, and keep it moving. Our muk in-house professional hairdressers are strict about this one: holding a dryer still and close concentrates all the heat into one spot, and that is what causes damage rather than the dryer itself.
