This is our infrared straightener in a limited edition pink finish, and it comes with a full-size Deep muk 1 Minute Ultra Soft Treatment.

The tool is unchanged. Infrared heat works from inside the hair while the ion field seals the cuticle on the surface, so hair comes out smooth and shiny rather than flattened. Floating tourmaline ceramic plates keep even contact with the section, fourteen heat settings run from 90°C to 230°C on a digital display, and it straightens in a single pass. It also waves: hold it vertically and twist as you glide.

Heat styled hair can become dry and frizzy. The Deep muk 1 Minute Ultra Soft Treatment is the perfect accompaniment to the muk Style Stick 230IR. Use the treatment weekly or once every 7 shampoos to replace moisture and leave hair soft, smooth and shiny.

The choice between a standard or wide plate sized iron depends on the texture of the hair: choose a standard size for fine to medium texture; choose a wide plate for coarse texture. If styling waves, the wide plate will create a larger ‘beachy’ wave.

How To Use
  1. Dry your hair completely. Never use it on wet or damp hair.
  2. Apply Hot muk Thermal Protector.
  3. Set the temperature to match your hair texture and scenario, following the recommended guide.
  4. To straighten: glide through small sections, around 2cm, holding the iron horizontally.
  5. To wave: hold the iron vertically and twist your wrist as you glide down the section.

Standard or wide plate?

The wide plate is a great choice for medium to coarse hair, where there is a lot of hair (high hair density) and when a looser beachy wave is preferred.

Do I need a heat protectant as well?
