Product Details

This is the Filthy muk Styling Paste in both the sizes we sell it in, a 95g tin and a 50g tin of the same formula.

The paste is hold factor 8 at shine factor 4, which puts it in the middle of the range on both axes, and that is why our muk in-house professional hairdressers name it as the all-rounder. Gritty means the paste gives hair grip and separation rather than a smooth finish, so pieces stay distinct instead of blending together. It suits short to medium styles and it works on all hair types.

If you are buying your first muk styling product, this is a reasonable place to start and the 50g tin makes it a low-commitment way to find out whether it suits you before the 95g becomes the everyday tin.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is in the box?

A 95g tin and a 50g tin of the Filthy muk Styling Paste. Same formula in both, and they are the two sizes we sell it in.

Why would I want two sizes of the same thing?

If this is your first styling paste, the 50g is a low-commitment way to try it while the 95g waits in the bathroom. After that, the small tin becomes the one that travels.

What does gritty actually mean?

It means the paste gives the hair grip and separation rather than a smooth finish, so pieces stay distinct instead of blending together. It is what you want for a textured, lived-in look rather than a groomed one.

Filthy muk or Raw muk?

Both are hold factor 8. The difference is finish. Filthy muk is shine 4 and gritty, Raw muk is shine 8 and high gloss. Same hold, opposite looks.
